Digit's Copycats (For Ian)

Another bloody night has descended
the city is riddled with senseless murders
the latest is the body of a homeless man
found in his house with missing fingers

A taunting note signed with 'Digit" in red ink,
found exactly at the crime scene.
What kind of wretched world are we living in
that the monster has mad fans imitating him?!

I did the postmortems on their victims
and the visions of their last moments
revealed them, begging and screaming
to their aggressors, their mortal demons

I wanted to meet with one of them
to be rid the world of one less psychopath
To these maniacs, it is just a game
and I say they've played long enough

When finally one of them came after me,
one night after work, at a lonely road,
believing that he could easily bested me.
I showed him his thoughts are flawed

He lunged at me from the shadows
and I countered with my martial art.
Under the pale moon, we traded blows
before I used his knife to stab his twisted heart

My team hunted the rest one by one
until their reign came to an end.
My comrades celebrate our success
but I'm not a satisfied man..

I blamed Digit for all these murders.
He's the one who started the fire
which these copycats kept burning
and he's still out there, still hiding....

Digit walks free, he fears nothing, your copycats would have met a bad end if Digit met them, lol.
You will have to be very good, the only clue I will give to you is that there is to be a meeting.
Yes a big greeting, Twix Nevermore, Killer and Digit.
They will swap stories, and watch the fire glow on a beach.
The beautiful odour of long pig that Digit will serve to his friends, the beach is to be chosen soon, and maybe we will invite the odd body to fill the aching gaps in our diet, could be a quandary that Long pig might be the real McCoy.
I love your write and enthusiasm for the hunt, it will be told to Digit, I know what he will do, just smile and say he has sharpened a knife for you,
Yours J Sparrow
You will have to wait Digit is in Washington for a while.

Digit took time out from the USA
He took a flight down under they say
He looked in on an Elf but was too a feared
There in an apartment shouting at his computer
The great Elf was as always being a good tutor

To take his temper out for travelling so
Around the back into the garden he did go
There he hacked at all he saw growing there
Especially the toadstool the Elf used as a chair
He has since returned to Washington's shore

He has to finish his American tour.
