Haiku # 16

deep forest
creatures skedaddling
men walk like thunder


We do make a great noise as we move around. I recall what T. Roosevelt said, "Walk softly and carry a big stick." Someone changed that to "Walk softly and carry an M-1 tank." I just say, "Walk softly."
