It's All Good

.
I like the dark
I like the iridescing sun
I like silence
and the sound of giggly fun

I like dry desert heat
and cold rainy days
high brow dames
and low brows the same

I love feeling high
yet, understand sorrow
fond of yesterdays
and hopes of tomorrow

I like living
can't say much for dying
but if this pattern holds true
it will come without crying

Hello Ma'am

Respected ma’am,
You see you have amassed a hoard of comments
In just a short while,
As you too use the explosive word of
SEX,
By now you know
Only two things pay,
One is of course sex
And the second is,
BLUFF.
NO one ever gets 5000 views,
I haven’t that much in 3300 poems,
They all knew
But you are an extraordinary writer,
Many oldy's have recommended you
And
As I always read you
Sex or no sex,
Bluff or no bluff,
But I shall fever read you
It’s a pleasure

See you soon

I know i am behind on some things. I apologize! I have to go out of town again for several days. Hugs to you.

CALLING NEOPOET

The November Issue of the Newsletter is set to be published after this weekend, and there are a couple of new features. First and the one I hope will create some healthy interest in the newsletter, is our contest . Each month I will include a sentence which must be included in a poem, can use the words separately or as a sentence. The prize is having your poem included in the newsletter. I will include the line in this blog, as an tntro to the new item. This month's line is " Facsimile of the human psyche unravelled."

New Neo

I can't live without so many things, family music , love, sex.
But to live without poetry would be the end for me.

I missed Neo while it was away, I was bereft.
Had lost the purpose to my writing day.

Now it's back, like a long lost friend, the same and yet it has changed.
I'm finding the experience disconcerting and exciting. The possibilities feel endless. I hope we make the most of the opportunity for change and ultimately improvement.

Such Is The Way

A Thank you to our Veterans

Thanks to you, I enjoy the freedom to disagree with my government. Thanks to you, I enjoy the personal freedom found nowhere else in the world. Thanks to you, I can hold my head up proudly or bow it in humility. Thanks to you, I can worship freely, no matter my religious leanings or stand without a professed faith without persecution.

Thank you!

I know many Veterans that have supported and fought for our country here in the United States.
I truly believe without their willingness to continue to uphold our beliefs and way of life, we wold not be the country we are today.
There are many things in our government I do not believe are right. Yet, I can not think of any place else I would rather live.
Far too often, we the citizens, take so much for granted. We are spoiled and selfish and usually unwilling to compromise without complaining.
I urge you all to give thanks for what we do have.

review of Plutonic Sonnets by Robert Graber

In this book the author sings us a story via the classic melody of the sonnet. Through an oft times humorous, condensed history he shows the development of humankinds' understanding of the physical world and heavens. From stories of gods and titans to that of the power of the atom bomb which has been developed from the element namesakes of those gods, he weaves a magic history in beautiful rhythm and rhyme.
