About me Factotum. I'm just this guy, you know?

Happen to be passionate about just about everything especially poetry. And my temper. Ever heard of a Rupert's Drop? It's a small tadpole shaped piece of glass that while almost indestructible, if you snips its tail it explodes.

shiraz or chiraz

anything to do with strong coffee
interests me strongly also

there is this old gas bar turned
coffee house here in this northern
city by the lake called Twiggs

they import coffee and roast the
beans right in the store
they are also a licsensed establishment
and have an outside patio

they serve deserts and sandwichs

i love to go there and just sit and
look across the back parking lot of
these tall buildings and see the red
and orange framework of the large
microwave tower Scan upwards and
look at the ravens nest on the first
deck watch customers come and go
and sometimes read a paper from
Toronto or Neighbouring Hamilton
cities far to the south
a six hour drive

but its the coffee i love most
intellectual conversation i never
had with other poets or book worms
even though i have been here for
six years now

well thats my story for today
no money for Twiggs until two
more weeks

but i will be there one day
drinking Mexican Black

mmmmmm

Wow, Jess!

Great current picture you have here. To me it suggests a look of seeker/prophet. Maybe guru? Anyway, someone fiercely wise … with something (actually, many things) to share.

Thanx for all your work and dedication to this site. You enrich it. Immeasurably.

Yours,
Chuck

Happy Birthday Mate!

I love your new picture! Makes you look as barking mad as I have always suspected you to be…

Because of the Southern Hemisphere do you place your Christmas Ornaments on in a counter clock wise fashion?

All my absolute best!

DEAR FRIEND

Thanks for your comments
We are two different sides .I am in the opposite side of you
Faith in god is a faith in us.This is my principle. You are arguing that faith in
goodness is a God .Our ways may be different but both our sayings are correct
thank you Jess

interesting you should say "even post"

You even said you meant postmortem, but he had a job most of his life at the post office. I often have to remind myself he wrote fiction, as we should all do, because he was so bloody good we mostly believed every word he said. It’s fiction, well some of it.
Come to think of it, Lisa, having seen some of your other comments and poetry, I suspect you were punning. OK, I fell for it.

Changed my tag line just for you. Don’t have the energy for a gun right debate at the moment. So… it’s been amended to something equally as dumb, but at least it’s a funny dumb. :~)

Fathers Day

still and quiet here
no chimes just the plaintive chirping
of birdsong illuminating nights shadows
left lurking
Been up all night sifting sand
and searching horizons for metaphors

Must say mate you are an inspiration
to me And when I put on my pot of
thick dark roast coffee when all are
up I will toast you a mug in your
honour

Re: Teen Season

Yeah…but I’m even still considering throwing him out. We all do stupid, rebellious stuff. However, with this one, I’m perpetually perplexed! He lacks in wisdom, sensibility, knowledge, understanding, maturity…I just can’t go on. Just thinking of it physically and mentally exhausts me…I need “kelp!” Thanks for your comment.
