There’s something about a man that
starts a fire in my eyes
and make me flirt or stare
in wonderment.
There’s a man’s wink or shyness that
makes me wonder what it all means
behind masculine stamina and poise
as he walks away.
There’s something about a man I love that
makes me whole, no matter what ailing
behind this face that pretends not to notice
his advances.
There’s something about a man that
turns a frown on my face into a smile that
heals this lonely heart.
There’s something about a man that
changes the raining in my heart
to a sunshiny day.
There’s something about a man that
bonds my broken heart
mending it slowly with every touch.
There’s something about a man that
makes what I’m going through take
the good with the bad.
There’s something about a man that
makes living in limbo not knowing
where the winds of life will take me
makes me move more carefully.
There’s something about a man
rescuing feminine struggles
that makes my heart rejoice
Living for the moment there is
something about a man I love
that makes me whole
is what I miss when it is all over.

It’s true, life’s
It’s true, life’s outlook is much brighter when there are two people instead of just one traveling the path together. Your poem captures that nicely.
The lines:
“There’s a man that flirt or stare
A man who wink or shy”
need a little bit of work for clarity.
Always, Cat
Thanks Cat
Barbara Writes thanks for reading. I appreciate your thoughts. I aggree with you this line needs more clarity.
When I wrote it I thought it may need more work. I was working on the revision and it got overlooked.
Nice,
I think what we men have to offer, that special thing women want, the thing that you speak of is…..Admiration, unconditional love.
Just sometimes we are not the sharpest tool in the shed and are intentions are masked by our stubborn nature, leaving us often times misread and confused.

I read Retts poem and I really enjoyed reading it. His poem “Some place he’s never found” is what made me pull this one up and revised it.
You are correct in your thinking as I could not express it in to those words myself. So happy you you new what is. Speaking for myself anyway.
Thanks for sharing your wisdom.
Different well
