the revolver is heavy
the barrel hexagonal and long
"sportsman" stamped into the metal
checked wooden handgrips with
round designed logo counter-sunk
twenty two hollow points are loaded up
in their brass casings
i pull the large trigger and take aim
at arms length at the tin cans in the pit
thirty feet away
i have to pull on the trigger more then
i would have thought
the shot goes off and deafens me
not a can jumps just dirt spits up
behind them
i take aim again and pull again
and another shot goes off
same results
i start to just generally point the
gun in the direction of the cans
and start firing
the chamber rotating until there
is nothing but a little ol click
this i can barely hear
not one can is knocked over
I pull back the sight lever and
crack open the gun
flip that little knob and kick-out
the shells into my hand
they are very hot
i reload and try again
and all i get is more deafness
i knock the empties out
after letting them cool down
i walk up to the targets
with the gun heavy in my
left hand
i poke one over with the long
barrel
"Bang!" I say
then I laugh shake my head
empty the gun
clean it and put it back in
my fathers dresser
i am so embarassed i never
take another shot again
O
LOL
This was an absolute delight to read
Nice story, funny don’t know if it was meant to be not ha ha but amusing
good sense of humor
