Seven thirty sunrise
Hope
Sun rays Bright
New day ahead
Seven forty-five sunshine
High above
Over lake water
Sitting in eight o’clock traffic
His bright sunny smile
Moves ahead of me
Reaching for sun glasses
Right turn at the light
Following close behind
Warming 30-degree morning
School guard directs traffic
For middle scholars’
Impatient drivers
Hating the wait
College students
Heavy backpacks
Make their way
Across campus grounds
Right turn at the light
Warm sunrise
Move on ahead of me
Hanging high
Nine thirty hour
Behind white cotton clouds
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
