Boiling tears and bitter pleasure mix
Becoming one and filling each other wholly
Together they float their dark existence
Alone the tragedy of their dreams play
I ask what sweet songs pulled the life
From this vanishing breath, tortured
What unforgettable devotion poisoned
The man behind the stunning disguise
Who set the clock tower to their time
Appointing the moments of our lives
When did this veracity destroy you
Leaving nil in its wake but heart prints
This heart broke and bled a rainbow
Before anyone noticed it was present
He did ultimately see me here, alone
Although too late I was found.

8) poets are like outlaws,
to misquote Tom Robbins, when freedom is outlawed only outlaws and poets are free. We also re-arrange the dreams and nightmares, no matter how long they have been brewing!
I have an alter ego called Alex Machette who does all the things my bourgeois self would never allow!

Outlaws indeed
And renegade I be
Taking more than I need
I, the defender of word
Spoken, written, sunken
By the likes of you and me

My best friend
a poet, musician, outlaw and self-confessed nerd actually put a rose into the barrel of a tank while participating in a political protest in Chile!
He got arrested but not shot or blown up,
he is 30 years younger than me and he is my hero!
cheers,
Jess

today I saw a Double Raindow
and the thought of rain coming warmed me to an autumn we are not having and this poem helped me see that i noticed the gray clouds behind a double rainbow.

your words do linger!
Another true beauty from you~
To write a touching poem,
you must gently stir the soul,
if it brings forth tears or smiles,
then the story was beautifully told.
