The heavens opened up and cried, as an angel broke my heart;
pouring down in sheets upon the ground, washing away any memories I could carry home.

Celestial beings slowly sighed, as the gusts blew us apart;
The wind was forceful, melancholy, and made me struggle for stability.

The two forces collided,
and in a storm of lement, regret, and disenchantment; we parted ways forever…

your poem

An angel broke my heart;
as the heavens opened up and cried
in sheets upon the ground,
washing away
any memories
I could carry home.

Celestial beings slowly sighed,
as the gusts blew us apart;
in a storm of lament,
we parted ways forever…

sorry i couldnt resist editing this, it has such feeling and musicality.

Thank you so much! I love

Thank you so much! I love your version, and believe it or not I find it easier to write in a rhyme scheme or lyrical structure. The irony is, to write truly free of any structure, takes work and thought, whereas structure creates a freedom within me to shape words and thought into beautifully tragic images. :)do you like any of my other works?
