Here…

Here you left
For the sake of knowledge!

There…

There God ordered
The Angels
Spread their wings
Under your feet!

Here…

Here you left
For the House of Light…

There…

The birds
In the trees
And
The fishes
In the seas
Began chanting thy name!
All praying
For your forgiveness…

Here…
Here you left
For the war on ignorance…

There…

There your mother
Wept to God
All night
For your victory!

Here…
You left!

And

There…
There moved
The black hands of Satan
Hidden in the cloak
Of truth,
Towards you!

Ah!

How brutally
Choked they
The throat of your life!
Their cruel nails
Pierced your bosom
And tore your innocent heart
Into pieces unlimited….

Pulling the angel’s wings
From under your feet,
Laughed Satan!
But forgot he
That he
Was always a loser!

Your sacred blood
Mingled
With the blood
Of the Angels’ wings…
And burnt down
His hands!

Still weeps
Your mother!
But
Proud of you
She is…
For you died
In the war
Against ignorance…

For her
You are dead not
For knows she
That
In God’s abode
You live!

The birds
And
The fishes
Still chant thy name!
While
The wingless Angels
Cry
In the campuses
Of IIUI…

So Glad Dear Lyz

So glad dear Lyz. Thank you so much for your loving comments and all your support. I appreciate your thoughts a lot.
I feel very sad when I see things like that happening to humans, but then I feel a little bit contented when I write something about them. Maybe that is not a big thing but still it does make me feel good to think that at least I can share their sorrow and express my sympathy by writting a poem about them…

Sincerely,
Wafi

A fine write. You spoke of angels without debasing your art by forming cliches. You wrote of politics without falling prey to lollardry. This is an important piece because we (in the west) are never going to get the full picture of world events from our newscasters and politicians. Great write, keep them coming.

Also perfect title, it grabbed me on sight. Respects Dalton.

Wafi a treat on this rare visit to find you here with this really worthy work. The first few stanza’s alone struck me to the core & it was intriguing to continue & wonder what it was you were expressing in it’s essence. Ah, it is so sad that people feel the need to damage others, it rectifies nothing ever, only ever makes things worse… sigh. I can only respond that love in a heart is the only thing that frees us from the tyranny of violence & suffering… but until one learns to cultivate it, it just sounds trite.

So great to read this & know you are writing such things, & being acknowledged.

Cheers & gratitude

Your words

5

Your words reverberate
In the minds of those human beings
Like me who have seen visions
In broad daylight…
Your imagination and selection of words
Of communication
Are resounding
And
Upon the name of love
Time shall engrave
A name of your immortality
This is just a refrain…

Let time your mind train
To evolve words
Which reach a larger domain?
And
A standing ovation only
As your right my friend
Wafi does remain…
