Love and Nature
The sun’s crimson shine
Sat in the middle of nowhere
Touching the mountaintops
High upon his trotting horse
Not a word did we utter
Gazing under cherry clouds
Temperament and passion mingled
Like a river streaming from heaven
Christening true love
With showers of time and nature
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back

Hi Barbara
Your sun gilded horse is a fine image.
‘Waiting under cherry clouds’
I love that line. I can relate as I had ‘cotton candy clouds’ once. The sunrise/sunset is fun to write about.
Are you finished with the school quarter yet–and the exams? I can also relate to this as once upon a time I went to college for about 18 years, a few credits at a time–40 years old when I graduated. What is your major?
Always love reading your work.

The sun rides the mountain
In the Summer it is the sun that rides the mountain opposite
my house in Telemark.
At night in Winter it is the moon that rides the ridge, rolling
all the way along it. Your hot colourful sun is exciting. In
Winter the sun pinks the sky while the snow is purple and the
mountain deep blue-black, I can hardly believe my eyes,
there in the centre of all this is a tiny ( they call it big!!!) wooden church,
lit up with a circle of birch trees protecting it, beautiful too.
Such things that move us are the essence of love personified in
colours and as you say nature. Unaffected and wisely wonderful.
