Completing half the needed schooling
or doing only half the work,
paying only half the total
of the bill, to the sales clerk;
using only half a map
with which to travel by,
these half measure you could do,
but of course, they wouldn’t fly.
Exerting only half the effort
to make a relationship complete,
only speaking in half sentences
or only crossing half the street;
signing only half your signature
or ordering half a piece of pie,
these half measures you could do
but of course, they wouldn’t fly.
Just a humorous way of looking at not doing your best.

comical and true
and somehow strangely poignant. It is more than it seems.
I think you might enjoy barbdad’s works, check him out.
cheers,
Jess
thanks
I’ll look into barbdad’s work. I really appreciated your help. I need to find my focus; if you only knew. I’m all over the place. Ah, such is life. doc.
