About me "Thoughts and reasonings are like the steel wedges which give a hold upon truth; but prayer is the lever, the prise which forces open the iron chest of sacred mystery, that we may get the treasure hidden within." ~Charles Spurgeon

Nether poem

certianly
this poem that means nothing to you
is about a thunderstorm that
rolled through late one night
that my girlfreind and i watched
from the end or our sidewalk in
this city

the description is about thunder
and the lightening “white chains”

perhaps sometimes i simply over-word
my descriptions

so its all in a matter of working
on this

thank you for your perspective

Mark

Maybe out of place, but your quote reminded me of the old Joke of the Priest and the Cab driver at the pearly gates. The Priest is handed an old robe, sandles and a tarnished halo by St. Peter and the Cab driver got a brand new robe, sandles and bright shiny halo. The priest was a bit upset and says “Why do I get the worn out stuff and he gets brand new?” St. Peter replies, “Because, when you held a sermon, people went to sleep, but when he drove, people prayed!”

Sorry, probably older than I am. Anyway, thought I’d pop by and return the favor of comments and check out some of your poetry.

Respectfully,
