Fiscal Woes (the blog)
So I was reading that the AIG bailout is now over 100 billion dollars. GMAC was just bailed out - the prime financial lender of General Motors. This is an unnatural thing. Corporations like these are not supposed to fail - or are they?
Happy holidays, Everyone!
Just wanted to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. I’ll be about for a couple days, and then we’re going to Jon’s parents from Christmas Eve to the 26th or so. Will catch up with everyone when we return!!
Peace, Love, and good poetry writing!!!

:~)
Thanks, Rett!!!
After re-reading Rett’s poem Syntax, I was reminded of an email one of my friends sent me. I found it, and will share it here….
Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table At which he’s fed.
Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes Are the rule.
Tax his work, Tax his pay, He works for peanuts Anyway!
The great debate...
Here are all 27 Amendments to the Constitution. The first 10 are collectively known as the Bill of Rights. Out of this whole list, I do not see where we have a “constitutionally protected right to un-eduated children, harrass Muslims, have bad healthcare, etc.” “Th right to kill people with guns” as you put it, is a gross misinterpretation of the 2nd Amendment
Events leading up to Basking In The Calm - and the future....
So, as many have been able to figure out, our relocation agreement has gone through. All the paperwork is done, and we can now sign a lease for a place and officially move. Everything is packed, except for the everyday essentials. What my last poem was based off of was Jon signing and faxing back the final agreement. There is nothing left to worry about - and we can now mov
Recent Events...
As some know, we’re in the middle of a relocation, job/school upheaval, etc.. Consequently, I won’t be around Neo as much as I usually am - meaning probably no new material. There are a couple of things that I would like to acknowledge in case I run out of time, and don’t get a chance to comment personally…
Back!!
Howdy all! Am back from my fun and sun (lots and lots of sun….geez) and I’m pooped! It was good to see family and friends again, after being away for two years. My cousin’s family has since exploded (they work for a wildlife refuge) to include 4 new birds (quail, mourning dove, Coco the African Grey Parrot, and Pablo, a Sengal parrot) and two dogs: Blaze - a husky/Akita mix,
For all my lovely friends...
From now until 27 July is finals week, and basically means it’s crunch time. I know I haven’t been on all that much to begin with, and for that, I’m truly sorry. I’m on the home stretch, though, and not much more is needed for school. I just have the final exam for the communications class. For the government class, I just have two quizzes and a paper to do. Needless to say, as I finish these up, my goof off time will be very limited. I’ll be around for Mom’s room, my room, and Rett’s room, and will drop comments and votes here and again as time allows.&n
Friends of Chrys (poewriter58)
Just got word that mother is back in the hospital. I have no information at present, but I speculate that it’s the ongoing problem that they’re trying to remedy. All I know is that she’s at Orange Regional Arden Hill Campus. Will update y’all once I know better what’s going on.
(update 8:20pm): The # there is (845) 294-5441. She’s in ER at the moment, but will be transferred to a room soon. I can’t go into why she’s there, but rest assured she’s going to be ok.
Weekend!
Hey y’all!
Will be away this weekend, and be returning very early Monday morning. Haven’t forgotten about you, just won’t be here! LOL. Hope everyone has a happy and safe weekend, and stays out of trouble. See y’all in a couple days.

And So It Begins.....
Was looking at the objectives, assignments, and general guidelines for these two classes. School officially starts tomorrow, but I noticed that one of the profs unlocked all the options for the Gov’t class - meaning we can submit assignments and such - and being me, have already started on unit #1.
Dibs and Dabs
Author’s note: This originally started off as a poem, and I decided that it made for a better blog entry. Again, a pretty expressive and opinionated rant. Should such views offend you, I ask that you continue no further. As always, folks, it’s just my stuff. Take from it what you need, and leave the rest. Many thanks.
Sit on a bench downtown in any major city - you will see the true face of America.
Walk the streets in most towns - you will see the country that our government tries so hard to cover up.
Deepest Apologies
All -
Really sorry for not being on the past day or so. There are 4 servers that Neo goes through, and I had the shit luck of being on the one that was down. Hopefully, everything is resolved. I’ll try to catch up with new posts, and visit everyone as much as I can. Thanks!
~Jess
Random Scatterlings...
Author’s note: In a comment on Peter’s (rider68) poem NightMares - A Surreal Encounter, I had made reference to a post about technology. This is that said post… This was an entry that I had done for one of the groups I belong to. BIG is the owner of the group. James is a fellow member. The group is Permaculture and Edible Landscaping. This was basically my two cents on how technology is ultimately our pitfall. Just my stuff, folks, take from it what you need, and leave the rest… Many thanks ~ Jess
