Interesting comment Linda.
The title alludes to 1965, but i wrote it in 06 and at that time was spending a lot more time with NPR than with radio rock.
I also felt like it was 65 all over again; and then recalled my friends and i riding around and discussing the idiocy of “the Nam conflict,” the spector of high school graduation,and the DRAFT. Wondering what young people where thinking about this mess. “Beer in a bottle-65” just kind of sprang to life in my mind.
You are correct rock and roll was what we had on the box back in 65. I might change that line for time frame continuity. thank you.
